There are many people that I should thank to have become an unwilling author and for the birth of
this book. As I believe everyone going through this exercise, I have several fears. My biggest one
is obviously to forget to mention somebody important in my acknowledgments.

I thank my grand-parents who took care of me; my grand-father René François DESCHENAUX
who taught me to write, to consult the dictionary and to count.

My daughters Leila et Alia DESCHENAUX who have been my reason to live all these years.

my partners and sharing their time, experience and efforts with me in our non-bar law firm that

points and for having the courage of joining me as a partner at that time; thank you Michael for

Ariana KASTANIAS who educated me socially, who supported me financially, , even after we
broke as a couple, had the patience of making me study and showed me the true meaning of family
